Michael Dobson, the new Chief Executive of Schroders, has commenced the long-awaited group restructuring plans at the troubled UK fund manager.
Up to 30 UK staff are believed to be going and some overseas as Dobson confirmed a small number of closures in Schroders' 39 overseas offices.
The company issued a profit warning last month and admitted that accounting errors inflated previous profits by up to £11 million.
