Citigroup Boss Takes Less

A Securities & Exchange Commission filing has revealed that Citigroup chief Sandy Weill took less out of the business last year than in 2000.

There is no indication that he or his family will starve, however, as his bonus was only cut $1.5m to $17m. His salary of $1m was unchanged.

Mr Weill's remuneration has moved downwards, in line with chiefs of other financial institutions after a tough 2001.
