US Economy - Confidence Grows

US Confidence rose in March to it's highest for 15 months and work at factories increased 0.3% in February.

The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index rose to 95 in March from 90.7 in February, the highest level since December 2000.

The 0.3% monthly increase in work at factories matched the increase seen in January, the first time that there has been consecutive monthly rises since May-June 2000. This indicator is seen as fairly crucial as factory work is around 90% of total US industrial production.
