Saudi Takes More Of Citigroup

Billionaire Saudi investor Prince Alwaleed signalled his belief that he, at least, feels that recovery is on the way by going on a $1bn share-buying spending spree last week.

Alwaleed, according to Forbes the world's 11th richest man, ploughed around $450m into AOL Time Warner and $500m into US financial services business Citigroup. His holding in Citicorp is now believed to total around $10bn.

The Saudi businessman is advised by Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
