Andersen Reduces Settlement Offer

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that troubled accounting firm Andersen has reduced it's previous offer to settle all civil claims relating to it's actions pursuant to auditing work it undertook for failed energy giant Enron.

Andersen offered $750m in settlement in mid-February, but it's current reduced offer of $375m is thought to have been prompted by fears of a future rapid fall off in revenues as clients continue to defect in the aftermath of the Enron scandal.
