Top Fund Manager Stays

After several months of speculation, Neil Woodford is thought to have signed a new deal to stay with Invesco Perpetual.

The top fund manager, who is responsible for billions of pounds of investor monies, is thought to have signed a rolling five year deal which will ward off headhunters for the forceable future.

Negotiations between the two parties commenced in late 2000, after Amvescap, owner of Invesco Asset Management, acquired Perpetual.

Woodford was originally thought to have been concerned about the strategic direction of the company under it's new owners.
