CSFB Official To Give Evidence

CSFB international chairman David Mulford is set to give evidence to Argentinian authorities in connection with an investigation into allegations of government bribery.

According to Saturday's Times, Mulford, a former US Treasury Secretary, will testify before a judge looking into whether 'excessive' fees were paid to investment banks which co-ordinated Argentina's £21bn debt reorganisation last year. There has been allegations that some of these funds found their way back into the pockets of unnamed Argentinian government officials.

There is no suggestion of any wrong-doing by Mr Mulford or CSFB.
