Schroders Boss Does Well

Chairman of Schroders, Peter Sedgwick received a bonus of £2m last year. He did well. His company didn't - it put in one of it's worst performances for years.

According to the Financial Times, Sedgwick's total remuneration package for 2001 was £3.73m.

Schroders itself lost £8.1 pre-tax last year, after exceptional charges of £44m. The company have already announced modest job cuts and more are believed to be on the way.
