Goldman Sachs and Rothchilds are but two organisations who have expressed an interest in Cazenove in the past and both are now thought to be reviewing their options.
Rothchild is believed to be a perfect fit for Cazenove. Their businesses are thought to be fully complimentary and a purchase would leave Rothchild itself less prone to a takeover by a larger rival.

The decision by blue-blooded investment house Cazenove to put off it's proposed float due to current weak market conditions has led to speculation that several competitors are considering a bid to buy the institution.
