A New CEO
A new man had just been promoted to be CEO of a large high tech company. His predecessor shook him by the hand and gave him 3 envelopes to open in the event that he ran into trouble. After six months, sales began to tumble and the new CEO didn't know what to do. Routing around in his desk, he came across the envelopes. He opened the first one, which said: 'Blame your predecessor.' He did. Sales picked up and he survived. 12 months later the company was in trouble again. The CEO opened the second envelope. The message read: 'Reorganise.' He did and the company rebounded once again. Later still, the company profits fell for a thid time. The CEO then opened the final envelope. The message said: 'Prepare three envelopes.'
