Enron Gave Advice On Company Finances

The New York Times (NYT) reports that one of the many services provided by the innovative Enron Corporation was advice to major corporates on financial management.

It remains unclear how many large corporations actually signed up for these services from Enron, although it believed that, according to the NYT, at least six large organizations 'signed complicated deals, intended to enhance their results with financing and accounting ploys.'

It is believed that Enron's financial managment strategies were first developed at Enron Capital under the leadership of Jeffrey Skilling, the former group CEO.
