In the latest move to bolster the fledgling business, the Bank has hired nine more equity analysts.
The new hires include former HSBC analyst Ed Venables to do media, Marcus Waddilove from Lehman to cover technology and media trading and ex UBS analysts Karl Keegan and Michael Booth to look at biotechs.
The European Equities Group now numbers 101 people.

At a time when many of its rivals are downsizing and slashing costs, Banc of America Securities, part of Bank of America, has spent the last 20 months building a European Equities Group.
