Terrorist Attack Ads In Bad Taste

Msnbc reports that Cantor Fitzgerald, the company that lost 658 people in the US terrorist attacks last year, is advertising on US cable tv and, some say, crossing the line of exploitation.

The series of ads feature Cantor Fitzgerald employees talking openly about the day their collegues lost their lives. At one point a staff member says: 'We want to make sure that these families can go on, and that's why we are in business today.'

Msnbs quotes Scott Donovan, editor of Ad Age, who said: 'I think that these are exploitaive....I think that ultimately these ads don't just pay tribute to the employees who died. They try to use them as a reason why you should hire the firm, and i don't think that's honest advertising.'
