Fabian Neo joined as Head of FX Advisory, Asia, effective 1 September 2011, to provide strategic leadership to the teams in Hong Kong and Singapore, and to oversee the FX advisory services, as well as the execution of all FX-related products offered through the Barclays Wealth platform.
He joined Barclays Wealth from Credit Suisse, where he was regional head of North Asia Advisory. There, he was instrumental in building up the FX capabilities for Credit Suisse in Singapore before moving to Hong Kong where he spearheaded onshore FX product developments into China and Japan. He has held a number of regional leadership positions at Credit Suisse, including in advisory services, FX, as well as treasury.
Effective 19 September 2011, Chi Lee joined as Director, Head of Active Advisory and Investment Solutions, North Asia. In addition to managing the Hong Kong based Active Advisory team, Lee will work closely with the North Asia market head, and bankers in the region to ensure appropriate investment solutions and advisory services are provided to ultra high and high net worth clients.
Lee joined Barclays Wealth from Bank of Montreal, where he was Head of Private Bank Hong Kong and Head of Wealth Management Asia. There he built up the private bank business, and was also responsible for the team of investment advisors providing bespoke investment solutions across all asset classes for ultra high net worth clients. Lee has a strong track record of delivering advisory and investment solutions to ultra high net worth clients. In a career spanning 15 years, Lee has held senior advisory roles in alternative investments, equities, and hedge funds, at various financial institutions.
Both Neo and Lee report to Bryan Henning, Head of Global Research and Investments, Asia. Henning said, 'We are delighted to have Fabian and Chi on board.
