And here's our latest 60 Second Recruitment Interview.

And under the spotlight is Andrew Larholt, founder and Managing Director of Montash Associates.

Q - How long have you been in the industry, and what is your current job title ?

A – I started in the City back in 1998 working in IT recruitment. After 7 successful years climbing the ranks of a large firm I decided to leave and I founded Montash Associates in 2004.

Q - Do you have a mentor and if so who ?

A – I have one or two key people that I draw inspiration and advice from, however I believe there are things to be learnt from many different people I meet. In fact, one of my clients proves to be a great source of advice (as well as an excellent customer!).

Q - Are you by nature a pessimist or optimist ?

A – Ha, that’s a great question to ask a recruitment consultant - the answer will always be 'an optimist'!

Q - Which business leader do you admire the most and why ?

A – I was asked that in my very first job interview and the answer I then gave was Richard Branson. Whilst I still have admiration for him, there are so many leaders to look up to. Warren Buffett, for example - to be as successful as he is and to still be doing it into his 80s is incredible!

Q - What's the biggest lesson you have learned in your career to date ?

A – If it's worth doing, then it’s going to be hard!.

Q - What's your favourite business quotation or life motto ?

A – We have the poem If by Rudyard Kipling on the wall in the office. I often look up during the day and catch a line that resonates with me. If I was to choose my favourite line from that poem it would be 'If you can dream and not make dreams your master, If you can think but not make thoughts your aim'.

Q - What's the best business book you've ever read ?

A – To be honest I'm not a big fan of business books. I am, however, an avid reader of newspapers, magazines and the internet.
