Arsenal's hunt for French midfielder Yann M'Vila is definitely back on after the man himself said he would welcome a move. Arsenal are busy tying up a deal for international teammate Olivier Giroud at present and once that's done you'd imagine the club will focus on negotiating with Rennes for the tough tackling midfielder. The 21-year-old couldn't have been more direct with his quotes; "Yes I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal." Watch this space.
The Mirror report that Real Madrid's interest in Luka Modric is serious, with Jose Mourinho preparing a £30 million offer. He wants to partner him in midfield with Xabi Alonso, to create a duo in the centre capable of matching Xavi and Iniesta at Barcelona. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with the Tottenham midfielder, but it makes far more sense for Spurs to sell him to a club abroad. PSG are thought to also remain interested.
Another man Real Madrid are interested in is David Silva, according to The Sun. The Spaniard is currently impressing for his country at Euro 2012 and supporters would love to see him back in his homeland. However Manchester City would be extremely reluctant to let him go, he was a key player for them last season, and despite talk of a £30 million bid, we'd be surprised if this happened. The only way this could surely progress is if Silva himself handed in a transfer request and made clear he wanted out.
Speaking of Euro 2012 stars, it is no surprise to see Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic attracting interest from Premier League clubs. The Wolfsburg striker has scored three goals in two games, and Everton are believed to be interested. He could link up with international teammate Nikica Jelavic in attack, but the problem for Everton is that the more goals he scores the higher his price tag becomes. For a club with limited funds that could be a stumbling block unless the Toffees sell one of their stars like Marouane Fellaini.
Spanish striker Joselu has become the 247th player to be linked with West Ham in the last week, as Big Sam's international scouting mission continues. Joselu plays for Real Madrid and scored 26 goals for their B team last season. Allardyce knows Madrid would be reluctant to let him go, so is hoping a 'buy-back' clause may seal the deal for the 22-year-old.
