The New York Post reports that Daniel Shak claims Beth Shak never told him about her stockpile of 1,200 pairs of designer shoes when they divorced three years ago.
The finance titan, who had shared a Fifth Avenue pad with Beth, claims that she hid the collection from him — possibly in a 'secret room' - and that its value may entitle him to hundreds of thousands of dollars more in their divorce settlement.
The newspaper also reports that Ezra Merkin will pay more than $400m to settle charges he funneled $2 billion into Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme without his clients’ knowledge.
'By holding Mr Merkin accountable, this settlement will help bring justice', New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said in a statement.
The agreement will allow some of Merkin’s clients to recover as much as 40 percent of what they lost, with investors who had been kept in the dark recovering the most.
