We know who Jimmy Fallon is. And we've certainly written LMFAO 38 or 67 times in an instant message. We were even vaguely aware there was a band by the same name. But we had no idea who on earth they were.
Redfoo and SkyBlu make up the duo. Redfoo is SkyBlu's uncle. And Redfoo's father (and SkyBlu's grandfather) is Berry Gordy, who founded Motown Records. Apparently their band was originally called Sexe Dude, but SkyBlu's grandmother recommended they change it. (What a hip woman!) No question how they got their recording contract.
Anyway, Jimmy Fallon and LMFAO have collaborated on The Spin Class Song, which is pretty funny:
