Squali, a top-ranked analyst, reports to David Toti, Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equity Research at Cantor Fitzgerald. Naved Khan, formerly of Jefferies & Co. and Kip Paulson, formerly of RBC Capital Markets, are joining Cantor as Vice Presidents and Research Analysts supporting Squali in building the firm’s Internet and Media research platform.

Squali has over 10 years of experience covering the Internet. He is the recipient of The Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street 2011 and the Financial Times StarMine All-Star Analyst Award 2009. Most recently, Squali served as Managing Director and Partner at Jefferies & Co. where he headed the Global Internet and New Media Research team. Previously, he served as a Managing Director at First Albany Capital where he launched and managed the firm’s Internet Research practice, Senior Vice President at ING Barings, and Managing Director at Laidlaw Asset Management. Squali has a B.S. in Economics from the American Business School in Paris and an MBA from the University of Hartford.
Khan served as an Equity Analyst at Jefferies & Co. where his coverage focused on companies in the Internet and New Media space. Earlier, he was a Finance and Strategy Consultant at Ipsos ASI, where he conducted operational analysis and developed product pricing models, and a Design Engineer for EMC Corporation. Khan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology in India, an M.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from New York University.
Paulson was an Equity Research Associate on the Internet Research team at RBC Capital Markets. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Associate with Jefferies & Co., providing research support for senior analysts in the Internet and Media & Entertainment sectors. Previously, he served as an Equity Research Associate at Merrill Lynch & Co., and as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services. Paulson holds a B.A. in Business Economics and Philosophy from the University of California. He is also a CFA charterholder.
