Transfer Talk: Featuring Stekelenburg and Bryan Oviedo

Tottenham's search for a new goalkeeper has led them to Dutch number one Maarten Stekelenburg. The 29-year-old was signed by Roma from Ajax last summer but is reported to be unsettled in Italy. He would link up with international teammate Rafael van der Vaart at White Hart Lane and would cost in the region of £8 million. The Mail report Spurs are 'launching a bid' for the stopper.

Everton are being linked with Bryan Oviedo, a highly rated Costa Rican left-back who plays for Copenhagen. They are monitoring the 22-year-old in case Leighton Baines ends up leaving for Manchester United. The situation is complicated by the fact United are also keen on the left-back, who would cost around £3 million. He has just one year left on his contract in Denmark and the club are readying themselves for offers.

What a story this would be, Moussa Dembele to Real Madrid. The Sun report that Jose Mourinho is a fan of the Belgian, and is preparing to offer £10 million for the midfielder. It was reported yesterday that Fulham had rejected an offer from Manchester United for the player, who is also interesting Tottenham.

Arsenal could be about to tie up the signing of the summer, in Santi Cazorla. The Spaniard is reported to have flown into London last night from Malaga for a medical. Malaga are undergoing severe financial difficulties which mean money from a sale is urgently required. A deal could even be announced today.

Huddersfield striker Jordan Rhodes has long been the subject of interest from Fulham, but it is Blackburn Rovers who have stolen a march in the race for his signature. The two clubs are reported to have agreed upon a £6 million fee, double Fulham's offer, and Rhodes is currently having talks over personal terms with Rovers.
