Transfer Talk: Featuring Isco and Damiao

Brazil Football Lineup

Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Liverpool are the talk of the papers today.

All the transfer news and gossip you need to know from the last 24 hours...

Manchester United's midfielder hunt has taken a new twist, with the Red Devils said to be considering Spanish midfielder Isco. He plays for Malaga whose financial troubles have been well documented over the past few days, with them said to be close to selling Santi Cazorla to Arsenal. Isco is just 20, and can play on the left wing or in the centre, and is a Spanish under-21 international. He also featured at the Olympics, where Spain struggled, but this could be a good thing for United as it will keep his transfer fee from escalating, and considering Malaga's troubles he could be available at a bargain price.

Brazilian club Internacional have denied reports that Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Leandro Damiao. The striker is impressing currently in the Olympics, bagging two against Honduras in the quarter-final, and over the weekend it was suggested Spurs had made an offer. He is a long-term target of the club, who are getting increasingly fed up with the demands of Emmanuel Adebayor and are said to be looking at alternatives, of which Damiao is one. Internacional today told ESPN that no bids had been received, and after selling Oscar to Chelsea they are in no financial bound to sell.

Arsenal are interested in Belgian star Kevin Mirallas, following Newcastle and Liverpool to be linked with his signature. The striker currently plays in Greece with Olympiakos and was the league's top scorer last season. The 24-year-old is available at £6.4 million, but the Mail report Arsene Wenger will only swoop if Robin van Persie is sold.

Meanwhile Robin van Persie's move away from Arsenal looks to be narrowing down after Roberto Mancini ruled Manchester City out of the race for his signature. With Juventus also unlikely to meet the Gunners' asking price, it appears will come down to a choice between Manchester United or staying at the Emirates.

And finally it has been reported in Turkey that Liverpool are chasing winger Ricardo Quaresma. The former Porto winger has had spells with Inter Milan, and Chelsea, and currently plays for Besiktas, where he scored seven times and provided 11 assists last season. Liverpool are said to be readying a £6 million offer.
