Here are the two biggest - or most quirky- transfer rumours of the day for you to digest...
Luis Suarez to Juventus
Fresh from seeing their Robin van Persie bid rejected, Juventus are looking at alternatives, and they have come full circle back to a man they were linked with at the start of the summer. The Mirror report today that the striker is the top target for the Italian champions who sense he is vulnerable to a move after being angered at the boo boys in Britain over the Olympics. We wrote over the weekend that it is surely only a matter of time before Suarez decides to pack it in at Liverpool unless something gives. Brendan Rodgers has asked that something to be his attitude, asking him to move on and put it behind him, but the only way the striker will truly be able to do that is leave Liverpool behind him. Joining the Italian champions, starting afresh and playing in the Champions League has to be appealing to him, even if the Anfield club are reluctant to sell.

Usain Bolt to Manchester United
How' about this for a crazy rumour, Olympic 100 metre sprint champion Usain Bolt wants to sign for Manchester United. He told The Sun today that while he is in the UK he wants United to invite him for a trial to show what he can do. The sprinter went to Carrington in 2009 and met Sir Alex Ferguson, and probably feels he has achieved it all from an athletics point of view. He would certainly add pace to United's attack, but the sprinter reckons he can play a bit too. He says he is in the country for another week, and has implored the club to give him a chance. It seems a long shot, by why not? After all United did once sign David Bellion...
