The wheels are now reportedly in motion for Robin Van Persie’s expected departure from the club with Manchester United ready to meet the Gunners valuation for the Dutchman and therefore being able to field a dream partnership of RVP and Wayne Rooney next season. The Independent report that Manchester United are determined to claim back their Premier League title from their city rivals and see beating them to the signature of last year’s Premier League outstanding performer as pivotal. Following on from yesterday’s reports that the Gunners are chasing Argentine Matias Suarez yet another Anderlecht star has been linked with a move to the Emirates. According to The Sun, midfield man Cheikhou Kouyate is being tracked by Arsenal and Premier League rivals Manchester City after impressing at the Olympic games for Senegal off the back of a good season in the Belgian league. With a deal to bring Nuri Sahin potentially in the water, Kouyate would be a great signing if Alex Song was to force a move to Barcelona.
