In Love, Society Sets Up Men For Trouble

posted: 10 months ago

Power Of Women Gabriella Fabbri

So says a rather no-holds-barred article on Cracked.com, a site that will never deliver it to you nicely, or without a sh*tload of expletives. But it's an article worth skimming through and taking with a grain (or five) of salt.

The premise is as that some men feel shafted by womanhood for these five reasons:

  1. We were told that society owed us a hot girl.
  2. We're trained from birth to see you as decoration.
  3. We think you're conspiring with our boners to ruin us.
  4. We feel like manhood was stolen from us at some point.
  5. We feel powerless.

Read the article. And be sure to read the last two paragraphs, which might make the most sense of all.

Five of the Best

Things we love, things we want, things we want to do, and things we think are just cool, interesting, or at least noteworthy.

  1. Classical sculptures with clothes on. They're hip and they're way cooler than us.
  2. All hail, Stevie Nicks! If you like her, you'll want to read this. (And come on, who doesn't like her?)
  3. Take a trip down memory lane, checking out the Withnail & I: The End photography exhibition from Proud Camden, which begins late June.
  4. We can't warm up to the idea that the International Herald Tribune will be renamed the International New York Times this autumn.
  5. Any opportunity to get into the Yeoman Warder's Pub in the Tower of London should be taken. That can be you on the 11th of July (at 2pm, but hey, still not an opportunity to miss).
