The club's official website have today announced the signing of Cesar Azpilicueta from French club Marseille. The 22-year-old right-back representes Spain at this summer's Olympics and is an important signing after the departure of Jose Bosingwa to fellow West Londoners, Queens Park Rangers last week.
Chelsea's signing of Victor Moses has also been confirmed on the club's website this evening.
This comes after other full-back target Alvaro Pereira decided to join Inter Millan from Porto, Talk Sport reports. Pereira has been on the Blues' radar since Andre Villas-Boas was in charge but Chelsea will be hoping they have got the better deal signing Azpilicueta - only time will tell.
Left-back Ashley Cole has used his official Twitter page to speak of his delight at the club's new new signing, Azpilicueta and also said how he is looking forward to the imminent arrival of Victor Moses from Wigan Athletic.
According to the Daily Mail, Olympiakos have said they want to take Chelsea midfielders Yossi Benayoun and Gael Kakuta off their hands with the Greek side having cash to splash after selling star striker Kevin Mirallas to Everton. Marseille and Lyon are also said to be interested in Kakuta with the former having raised £7 million from sale of Azpilicueta to the Blues. It's doubtful the club will miss either player as they are both surpluss to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea face Newcastle at the Bridge in tomorrow's evening kick-off and will be hoping to bounce back from last season's 2-0 loss to the Magpies at the Bridge.
