Barker joins Gleacher & Company following his role as a member of the executive committee of Chapdelaine & Co. Previously he was Co-Head of the Global Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies Group at Citigroup, and prior to that was Head of Citigroup’s Global Credit Markets Group and played a key role in building Citigroup’s Leveraged Finance Group.

Prior to joiningGleacher & Company, Barker served on the executive committee of Chapdelaine & Co.Previously he was Co-Head of the Global Fixed Income,Commodities and Currencies GroupatCitigroup, where he was responsible for more than 3,000 trading, sales and capital markets professionals in over 20 countries.
Prior to that, Barker was the Head ofCitigroup'sGlobal Credit Markets Group, and was a senior member of the management team, responsible for buildingCitigroup'sGlobal Leveraged Finance Group. Barker also played a key role in the successful integration of the bond and loan platforms following the acquisition of Salomon Brothers by Travelers. Barker began his career as a commercial lending officer withBankers Trust Company.
He received an MBA fromHarvard Business Schooland an AB fromBrown Universityin 1980.
