Peregrine Financial Group founder Russell Wasendorf Senior failed in a suicide bid last month, after realising that his alleged $200m fraud was about to be exposed.
Arrested soon after, Wasendorf Sr has now been indicted by a U.S. grand jury on 31 counts of wrongdoing. But it doesn't end there.
Wasendorf, 64, apparently got married on 30th June, and his new wife, Nancy, ain't too happy about how things unfolded. And Reuters has reported that Nancy is now after an annulment.
In the meantime, The New York Post reports that the second of Ponzi-schemer Bernie Madoff’s daughters-in-law is asking a court for permission to shed her now notorious married name.
Deborah West Madoff, who started divorce proceedings against Bernie’s son Andrew back in 2008, has sought permission in Manhattan Supreme Court to revert to her maiden name. The couple have two children.
Finally, here's one wife who must be happy - tall, blond Norwegian Lise Evans, the wife of top Goldman exec Michael. The New York Post reports that Evans has just bought a $27m apartment at 995 Fifth Ave. Nice.
