Spurs have agreed a fee with Fulham for versatile Belgian Moussa Dembele. The 25 year old has had a £15 million release clause in contract activated by Tottenham as Andre Villas Boas looks to add to depth to a squad he has been thinning. Dembele can operate in numerous positions in the midfield and up front and had a very impressive season last year for Fulham. The news was confirmed by Tottenham's official website this afternoon. Whilst The Telegraph also believes Spurs have agreed a fee with Lyon for French number 1 keeper Hugo Lloris, with personal terms now the only issue in tying up a deal for Les Bleus captain.
The arrival of Dembele could spell the end of the road for Rafael Van Der Vaart’s White Hart Lane career as he now seems all but set to return to former club Hamburg. The Dutch playmaker does not feature in Andre Villas Boas’s plans and the Daily Mail feel it is only a matter of time before Spurs cash in on the 100 cap fan favourite.
Meanwhile Spurs have suffered a fresh setback with Shakhtar Donetsk over a possible deal for Brazilian Willian as the two clubs cannot agree on a suitable transfer fee for the winger.
In another sensational story for Spurs fans to take in Goal.com are now reporting that Aaron Lennon and Scott Parker are also available for sale if a team comes up with the right offer. AVB is in the midst of a complete overhaul of his team and the 2 English players have reportedly been told the club is willing to listen to offers for their signature ahead of the transfer window closing on
Meanwhile despite struggling with negotiations for Willian his fellow Donetsk based Brazilians Douglas Costa and Fernandinho are also now being touted as potential signings for AVB at the Lane.
Spurs will also up their interest in Ibrahim Afellay who is keen on a move to London amidst rumoured interest from city rivals Arsenal and Fulham; and Lille and Schalke 04 from the continent, report the Daily Mail.
And Michael Dawson, who seemed to have completed a deal to join QPR now looks set to remain at Tottenham for the foreseeable future, although Stoke City are interested in the defender and have not given up on bringing in Tom Huddlestone.
