10.50pm - Here are a few snippets... Sky Sources claim Joao Moutinho is more likely to stay at Porto than go to Spurs. Joey Barton's loan move to Marseille is complete - and the permanent deal of Stephane M'Bia to QPR is complete too.
And Andrey Arshavin has said he will stay, but he could still leave Arsenal - After the transfer window if he heads back to Russia. The Russian transfer window does not close until later in the week.
10.45pm - The big deal we are still waiting on is Javi Garcia. With 15 minutes to go he is still negotiating personal terms with Manchester City over his £16 million move from Benfica.
Meanwhile Southampton have made a sale- Dean Hammond has joined Brighton on a season-long loan
10.40pm - Steven N'Zonzi is at Stoke. He will have to get his skates on to sign in time for the transfer deadline. He will replace Wilson Palacios who is set to join Fulham, along with Tom Huddlestone who they are hoping to bring in from Fulham - Potentially on loan.
10.35pm - Blackpool have signed three players - Nathan Delfouneso on loan from Aston Villa, Nathan Eccleston on permanent deal from Liverpool and Kirk Broadfoot on a free - they seem determined to push for promotion again after losing in the play-off final.
10.30pm - Nicky Maynard has left West Ham after just six months at the club to go to Cardiff City for a £2.5 million fee. Tom Huddlestone could still leave Tottenham too, he has been linked with Stoke.
10.25pm - Defensive midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe of Club Brugge and attacking midfielder Ashkan Dejagah of Wolfsburg are said to be at the Fulham training ground. The clock is ticking, will there be enough time for the West London club to complete one or even two transfers?
10.25pm - Yossi Benayoun's loan-move to West Ham is reported to be a done deal.
10.20pm - Aston Villa have completed the signing of Christian Benteke from Genk.
10.10pm - West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Yossi Benayoun on a season-long loan from Chelsea. Paperwork still needs to be completed before 11 before the move is made official but this shouldn't be a problem and Hammers fans can look forward to welcoming back the midfielder to Upton Park after he enjoyed a two-year spell there between 2005 and 2007.
10.05pm - Clint Dempsey has completed a £6 million move to Tottenham on a three-year deal.
10.05pm - Michael Owen's move to Stoke City is expected to be completed next week. The striker is a free agent so there is no rush to get the deal finalised before tonight's deadline.
10.00pm - According to Sky sources, Clint Dempsey has agreed personal terms with Tottenham.
9.50pm - Swansea have let a striker go, Stephen Dobbie to Brighton on a three-year-deal.
9.45pm - Two more deals, suddenly it is all going on. Joey Barton has had his loan switch from QPR to Marseille confirmed.
And the second, West Brom have signed Dynamo Kiev left-back Goran Popov on season-long loan.
Meanwhile West Ham are reported to be attempting to bring Yossi Benayoun on loan to the club, but no agreement as yet.
9.40pm - Manchester City have finally confirmed the deal to sign Matija Nastasic from Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee with Stefan Savic heading to the Italian club in return.
Another one in for Everton, who have signed Kilmarnock's 17-year-old winger Matthew Kennedy for a nominal fee on a three-year deal
9.35pm - Michael Essien could join Real Madrid and be re-united with Jose Mourinho. Talks are said to be at an advanced stage between the clubs.
There are two more done deals, Aston Villa have signed Kieran Westwood from Crewe, and Southampton have signed American under-20 goalkeeper Cody Cropper.
9.30pm - More good news for Spurs, Clint Dempsey is reportedly at their training ground, as he prepares to discuss a move. Spurs were reported to have made a bid earlier, but the outcome of it was not confirmed.
Liverpool's £4 million offer was rejected by Fulham and they are now expected to be out of the race for the American, especially if the most recent events are anything to go by.
9.25pm - Fantastic news for Tottenham, they have confirmed the signing of French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris from Lyon.
9.20pm - BBC claim Liverpool could let two youngsters go, Nathan Ecclestone on loan to Blackpool, and Dani Pacheco to a club in La Liga, currently yet to be named.
9.10pm - Southampton striker Billy Sharp has signed for Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.
9pm - Two hours to go. Stephane M'Bia has had his medical and will complete his move to QPR shortly.
8.55pm - Javi Garcia is in Manchester. His move to City from Benfica is expected to be finalised shortly, we'll let you know when it is.
Meanwhile the BBC say Everton are rivalling Fulham and Stoke to sign Steven N'Zonzi from Blackburn, who themselves have signed 22-year-old Polish goalkeeper Grzegorz Sandomierski from Genk on loan.
8.45pm - If only Chelsea could buy Falcao... He has scored a first half hat-trick against them and Atletico Madrid are 3-0 up in the Super Cup.
8.25pm - Portugal centre-back Rolando has rejected a move from Porto to QPR. The defender is not interested in joining the 'sporting project' at Loftus Road and believes he can get a better offer elsewhere with Turkish champions Galatasaray said to be interested.
8.20pm - Staying with Liverpool, one player who will be staying at Anfield is Joe Cole - the midfielder has said that he wants to fight for his place under Brendan Rodgers. It is believed that there was an enquiry made by fellow Merseysiders, Everton.
8.15pm - Daniel Sturridge reportedly turned down a loan move to Liverpool as he wanted the deal to be a permanent one but the Reds were only prepared to take him on a temporary basis.
8.00pm - Lyon have confirmed that Brazilian Michel Bastos will not be joining Fulham.
7.55pm - Striker Christian Benteke is having a medical at Aston Villa after a £7 million deal was agreed earlier.
7.50pm - Roberto di Matteo has confirmed Essien is likely to go out on loan, but has said it won't be to Arsenal. We'll have to wait and see who it will be.
Chelsea definitely won't be making a late swoop for Edinson Cavani from Napoli. He has signed a contract extension with the Italian club.
7.45pm - Former Chelsea, Arsenal, and Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra is now an ex-Real Madrid player, with reports he is about to seal a move to Russian club Anzhi Machakala.

7.25pm - News on Derek Boateng to Fulham: The move is off, according to the player himself who Tweeted the news. Steven N'Zonzi is in talks with the club, with Stoke also interested in the Blackburn midfielder.
7.15pm - There is still a possibility Everton may make another move. They have been linked with Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland. Just under four hours remain for the club to seal the deal.
7.05pm - Fulham have rejected Liverpool's bid for Clint Dempsey, according to reports.
7pm - Michael Essien, linked with a switch to Arsenal, does not make the bench for Chelsea's Super Cup clash tonight against Atletico Madrid. Daniel Sturridge is a named substitute.
6.45pm - There is word from Italy that Gaston Ramirez' move to Southampton has been completed. The Italian deadline passed at 6pm and Gazetta dello Sport claim Bologna have filed the paperwork to sanction. SkySports have confirmed the 21-year-old's deal has been finalised. The deal is thought to be worth £12 million.
6.40pm - Out of favour striker Jay Bothroyd will leave QPR on loan to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
6.30pm - American midfielder Maurice Edu will be a happy man. He has sealed his move to Stoke City from Glasgow Rangers.
6.20pm - Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel won't be returning to the Premier League. He has signed a deal with Ajax.
6.10pm Chelsea have loaned winger Gael Kakuta to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. He had previously been linked with Marseille.
6.00pm - Southampton striker Billy Sharp is attracting interest from Championship side Nottingham Forest.
5.55pm - According to reports, Tottenham target Joao Moutinho has boarded a plane and is heading to the Algarve with the rest of the Porto squad ahead of tomorrow's game against Olhanense. This comes after talks between the player and the North London club broke down earlier this afternoon. We will keep you updated on this one...
5.50pm - According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham have made a late bid for Clint Dempsey. The American has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool and Sunderland so far this window and today turned down a move to Aston Villa.
5.45pm - Genk striker Christian Benteke is flying to Birmingham to try and complete his move to Aston Villa. Benteke, 21, scored for Belgium in their recent friendly against the Netherlands.
5.35pm - Lyon have turned down Fulham's request to sign Michel Bastos on loan and will only let him leave on a permanent basis - they are said to want no less than £7 million for the winger.
5.25pm - Pablo Hernandez to Swansea City is complete for a fee of £5.5 million after the player passed his medical and agreed personal terms. Mathew Nash asks whether it is the best signing of the summer?
5.20pm - Nicklas Bendtner has completed his loan switch to Juventus, 40 minutes ahead of the 6pm Italian deadline. Quite a comedown for the Turin club who originally wanted Robin van Persie.

5.15pm - Southampton boss Nigel Adkins says he is still hopeful of completing a sensational swoop for Gaston Ramirez in time for deadline. If he is signed, it won't be in time to face Manchester United on Sunday as the midday deadline for clubs to register their squads for the weekend has now passed.
5.05pm - Aston Villa are hoping to make another signing from the Football League. This time it is 22-year-old Crewe Alexandra captain Ashley Westwood. SkySports confirm the clubs are currently in talks.
4.55pm - Pablo Hernandez is at Swansea City, the deal to bring the Spaniard is almost complete, subject to a medical.
4.50pm - Here is a look at 10 facts about Aston Villa signing Joe Bennett, who signed 48 hours ago, as compiled by Mathew Nash.

4.20pm - SkySports are reporting the Moutinho to Spurs deal has hit a hitch over personal terms and is at risk of not happening. Tottenham fans can take heart from Mikel Arteta and Arsenal, where the same happened around this time of day on last year's deadline day, but the Gunners were able to turn it around in time for deadline. The worrying news is that it could allow another club in now it is knowledge Moutinho is available...
4.10pm - Martin Jol has described Dimitar Berbatov as the biggest signing in Fulham's history, adding he is 'very happy man' after the £4 million signing.
3.50pm - Hugo Lloris has arrived at the Spurs Lodge to discuss personal terms with Tottenham and undergo a medical. A fee has been agreed for the goalkeeper with Lyon.
Their third deal of the day after Richard Wright and Scott Sinclair, Manchester City have confirmed they have signed Maicon. Moves for Benfica's Javi Garcia, and for Fiorentina defender Nastasic are also expected to be finalised later this evening.
Meanwhile Rennes have insisted Arsenal and Tottenham target Yann M'Vila will not be leaving the club this transfer window.
3.30pm - Manchester City have completed the signing of veteran goalkeeper Richard Wright.
3.25pm - Fulham have completed the signing of Dimitar Berbatov from Manchester United and also agreed a fee with Lyon for Brazilian Michel Bastos.
3.15pm - Sky Sports sources understand that Tottenham's move for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is not close to being complete.
3.10pm - Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has said the club are "very very close" to signing Gaston Ramirez from Bologna.
