Strangely MJD has yet to sign a new contract with Jaguars which begs the question why he so freely returned to train with the team, speculation is suggesting that the franchise may have waived the huge $30,000 a day fine totalling $1.6 million for each day that MJD missed training.
With now a week to go until the Jaguars season opener at the Vikings question marks stand as to whether or not MJD will feature.
This will be a week for the coaching staff to take a good look at last years no.1 NFL rusher to assess fitness and his ability to slot in with little time before kick off.
I would suspect we will see Jones-Drew in Sunday’s game in Minnesota and for any fantasy players out there if you haven’t drafted yet go for MJD as a must have starting RB and to those of you that gambled on him prior to his holdout ending- congratulations!
