Fans in the UK now know they will be able to watch it on Sky after an overtime agreement was struck with just over a day to spare last night.
With now just hours until the season opener, it's prediction time...
Each week I will bring you my predictions for the upcoming NFL match ups and I challenge any of you to compete with me each week in the comment box below!
WED, SEP 5TH
Dallas at NY Giants
All bias aside I can’t look past the current Super Bowl Champions for this one. I put the Giants down to win this one by two TD’s.
SUN, SEP 9TH
Indianapolis at Chicago
All eyes will be on NFL rookie Andrew Luck for this one but I don’t think this will be the game that Luck will pick up his first NFL win. I am going with Chicago on this one.
Philadelphia at Cleveland
Last years ‘dream team’ return and with an equal expectation on their shoulders I expect the Eagles to take this to the Browns and their rookie QB. Eagles to pick up their first win on the road.
New England at Tennessee
Patriots go 1-0 its just that simple.
Atlanta at Kansas City
The Falcons are one of the teams tipped to go all the way and take the Super Bowl crown and I think they will demonstrate their potential with a win over the Chiefs.
Jacksonville at Minnesota
I am going to go with the Vikings on this one. The fact that MJD could go into this one as the 3rd choice running back plays into the Vikings hands. Home team win.
Washington at New Orleans
Even with the troubles in the Saints back office they will still be a huge threat this season and although the Redskins have a very promising rookie QB under centre I still give this one to the home team.
Buffalo at NY Jets
Those of you that read my fantasy column will know I don’t think all that much of the Jets offence which is one of the reasons I am going for the Bills for this match up. Look out for Fred Jackson exploding from the Bills backfield.
St. Louis at Detroit
Take an away team with very little going for it against a home team with everything going for it and what do you get…a Lions win!
Miami at Houston
Houston are one of my favourites to take it the Super Bowl this year (if everyone stays healthy, that means you Andre!). Although Miami have a young promising QB under centre they have also lost several offensive weapons. Houston to go 1-0.
San Francisco at Green Bay
A nice week 1 match up with the potential to be a bit of a high scoring game. The 49ers have added several weapons to their offense well the Packers have kept all of last years all stars. A tight match up but home advantage takes this one to the Packers.
Seattle at Arizona
I think this will be another close match up and will be decided by one of two men Arizona’s Fitzgerald or Seattle’s Lynch. I am going for a home win on this one.
Carolina at Tampa Bay
Did I mention that I love Cam Newton, I mean who doesn’t? Cam will take his team off to a great start with a win on the road against this average Tampa side.
Pittsburgh at Denver
Will Manning get that much anticipated win in his first home game in a Bronco’s jersey? Or will Big Ben and the troops come in to spoil the party? I think this will be a good season for the Bronco’s but the Steelers are too strong to lie down for a Manning revolution. Away win.
MON, SEP 10TH
Cincinnati at Baltimore
I like the moves made by the Bengals in this off season bringing in RB Green-Ellis will add a lot of value to this offence. That being said the Ravens are another team I can see going all the way this year. Flacco and his men to go 1-0.
San Diego at Oakland
I am not particularly excited about this match up however there are a few nice options that I will be looking out for in Oakland this year in Heyward-Bey and Moore so that being said this West coast battle will go to the home team.
Now let's hear your predictions...
