Perella Weinberg Partners Hires New MD

Based in Beijing, Chen will work closely with the Firm’s partners and professionals to expand the Firm’s presence in Asia.

Chen was most recently a Senior Vice President in China Investment Corporation’s Special Investment Department, where he led, managed and played a key role in a number of large-scale direct investments world-wide. Prior to this, he was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Chen is a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg Partners. Prior to joining the Firm, Chen was a Senior Vice President at China Investment Corporation. Previously, he was an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP and Allen & Overy LLP. Chen received a LL.B. from Nanjing University, a Master of Laws from the University of International Business and Economics and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School.
