Didier Deschamps caused up quite a stir with his comments about Hugo Lloris being unhappy before he has even kicked a ball at Spurs.
However if he was simply expecting Brad Friedel to step aside he may be mistaken, with the 41-year-old in fine form.
Tottenham play Reading at the Madejski on Sunday, and it will be an interesting test for the North London club who remain without a win.
All eyes will be on who is selected to play in goal, so we put a poll up on our website to gauge supporter opinion.
Here are the results:
Brad Friedel - 41 per cent
Hugo Lloris - 59 per cent
And here are some comments from supporters...
"Lloris is world-class while Friedel is a solid second-tier goalkeeper. It will take less than month for AVB to realize that the idea of having Friedel #1 is ridiculous."
"Friedel is a good goalkeeper but I consider Hugo Lloris better still, He is younger, taller and more agile and does leave his goal line to pounce on a loose ball or to intercept a cross which Friedel rarely does."
"You don't become captain of one of the world's top teams at 25 just for looking fashionably Gallic -- it's unacceptable to keep him on the mantel piece indefinitely as a trophy reserve."
We'll have to wait and see what the always unpredictable Andre Villas-Boas decides to do on Sunday - Where do you stand on the debate?
