Deutsche Board Member in Favour of Bonus Cap, JPMorgan Said to Face Money Laundering Probe

Deutsche Bank should introduce a cap for top salaries, and staff do not need to earn huge bonuses, Werner Wenning, a member of the bank's supervisory board, told Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

Reuters reports that Wenning told the newspaper: 'I'm in favour of caps....No manager, and no investment banker, needs double-digit million pay'.

In the meantime, the news agency reports that JPMorgan Chase's compliance with U.S. anti-money laundering laws is being reviewed by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, an independent branch within the Treasury Department, a source said, making the largest U.S. bank the latest target of a wide investigation of how banks prevent transactions involving drug money and sanctioned countries.
