Jack Wilshere has been like a ghost at Arsenal for the past year, the world class midfielder they want, but haven't been able to use after countless injuries and setbacks.
Fortunately there is finally good news, he completed his first full training session today in more than a year, and a first team return may not be far off.
Perhaps a Carling Cup home tie with League Two Coventry City next Wednesday (26/9) will be too soon, but supporters will keep their fingers crossed he will be back ina action sooner rather than later, while also bearing in mind the need to tread carefully.
Arsenal are looking great at the moment on the pitch, and there is no need to rush him back and risk further set back, and there is no doubt the club will do their best to manage the situation carefully.
Arsene Wenger has described the starlet's absence as an 'eternity' but good news after he missed the entire 2011/12 season and Euro 2012.
Emmanuel Frimpong is also back in full training after a long term absence, with the pair significantly boosting Arsenal's midfield options.
The 'Dench' midfielder took to Twitter to let fans know how pleased he was to be back in action, and provide supporters with an update as to Wilshere's progress, and it looks to be great news for fans of the club.
Was soo gd to be back with the lads training today I'm soo happy now just need FIFA clearance so I can play for Ghana it's been over a year
