Gabby Agbonlahor scored twice and Charles N'Zogbia once, but it was the first name on the Aston Villa score sheet which brought the most smiles to the faces of supporters.
A Gareth Barry own goal. Barry quit Villa for Manchester City in 2009, months after they had been taken over by Sheikh Mansour, and the transfer effectively signalled the start of City phasing Villa out of the clubs competing for the Champions League places.
