All of the news about Liverpool from the last 24 hours condensed into one place.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has set midfield player Jordan Henderson the task of forcing his way into the starting line up on a regular basis. Henderson has been out of favour at the club this season but Rodgers has said that he will always pay attention to the players at his club who are in form, enthusiastic and playing well. Henderson has made only one sub appearance in the league this season.

It has been confirmed that Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan will be out of action for a further three weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage. Flanagan did not feature for the club in the Europa League and he adds to the injury woes as Martin Kelly will not play again until the New Year and Daniel Agger is expected to be out for a short period with a severely bruised knee.

Goalkeeper Brad Jones has admitted that he is not the first choice goalkeeper at the club but is determined to prove himself when he gets an opportunity. The Australian shot stopper is the current deputy to Spanish international Pepe Reina and says he is doing everything he can to push Liverpool’s number one to the limit. Jones is likely to feature in League and FA Cup matches this season.

Jerome Sinclair will break the Liverpool record for youngest player if he features in the club’s League Cup match against West Brom. Sinclair is just 16-years and six days old and he will take the record off of Jack Robinson who made his first team debut in 2010. Manager Brendan Rodgers has already stated that he is going to give youth a chance outside of the Premier League this season.

Liverpool midfield player Suso has revealed that he almost signed for Real Madrid but chose Liverpool instead thanks to former manager Rafa Benitez. Suso signed for the club in 2010 and has just made his Liverpool debuts in the Europa League and the Premier League. He has revealed that Real Madrid had prepared a contract for him to sign but Benitez made him change his mind and move to England.

Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has said that Spanish 18-year-old Suso can become one of the best players in the history of the club. Suso made his debut for the side in the 5-3 win away at Young Boys last week. He also came off of the bench in the Premier League defeat to Manchester United. Enrique suggests he will hold down a place in the side given regular first team chances to impress.

Andre Wisdom has described his delight at breaking into the Liverpool first team and has stated that he is hoping for more first team chances. The 19-year-old made his debut in the 5-3 win over Young Boys last week and bagged a goal during the game. Wisdom is a defensive player tipped to become a long term replacement for Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.

Former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann has said that Rafa Benitez was wrong to let John Arne Riise leave the club during his time in charge. The left back was let go by Liverpool as he enjoyed a European adventure before returning to play for Fulham. Hamann suggests that Riise would have been ideal cover for Liverpool considering the number of injuries the club currently have in their defence.
