These two have not got on recently, well actually that might be an understatement. Without trying to stir too much it appears the two will now be heading for round three of their encounter when they face off in the all British tie between Wales and Scotland in the World Cup Qualifier.
Charlie Adam has however been very quick to quell any talk of their ensuing feud, insisting it is all water under the bridge and instead highlighting the qualities of Bale as a footballer.
Bale has remained pretty schtum on the issue while Joe Allen has said the side won’t allow the Tottenham wide-man to become involved in a feudal confrontation with the former Liverpool man.
Bale may not have forgiven the Stoke City player for the ‘cowardly’ tackle that injured him in pre-season, following on from a similar foul committed in his Blackpool days.
While all seems calm you can imagine that Gareth is still fuming at the repeat offences that left him hobbling like his surname-namesake Christian’s character in the latest instalment of the Christopher Nolan Batman saga.
Everybody loves a football feud though and if Bale was to put in a hard tackle on Adam many would think the Scotsman might have had it coming.
Here is the first tackle…
and the second from this summer…
