Goldman's board arranged to investigate Smith's claims, and found no evidence to support his view that clients were being described as 'muppets'.
The firm's lawyers will no doubt be ready to come down like a ton of bricks in the event that Smith steps out of line, and the former Goldmaner is understood to be subject to a 'non-disparagement' clause in his contract, which remains binding even though he has left the firm.
That's why we feel there won't be much of anything new in there.
