It seems like a long time ago now doesn't it, back in July and early August, not a day went past without Lucas Moura's name being linked to Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson even confirmed the club's interest in the sensational attacker, and the club were widely reported to have had a bid turned down by Sao Paolo.
A substantial bid at that, rumoured to be over £25 million, but Moura's talent was so highly regarded by his club they held out for even more.
They got it when PSG came in with an offer of above £35 million, and even allowed the Brazilian to remain with his club until the end of the year so he could complete the domestic season.
Moura showed United exactly what they missed out on last night, with this excellent goal for Brazil in a 6-0 demolition of Iraq.
His goal included an excellent one-two with striker Neymar, who also scored, along with Hulk, Kaka, and Chelsea's Oscar who netted twice.
Watch his goal here...
Are you disappointed United did not stump up more for Moura, or did PSG just pay silly money?
