Falcao added to his growing reputation as the best out and out striker in world football with two goals for Colombia in their World Cup Qualifier against Paraguay last night.
His two strikes secured a 2-0 win, putting Colombia second in the Conmebol qualifying round, after eight games, just one point behind leaders Argentina.
If they can maintain their form, it would be the first time Colombia have qualified for the World Cup since 1998, when they were defeated by England 2-0 in the group stages in France.
Paraguay, World Cup regulars since that tournament, are bottom of the group and look unlikely to make it to Brazil in 2014.
Falcao scored in the 51st and 89th minute of the game, and it is unsurprising to read the latest reports this morning linking Chelsea with a bid for him in January.
