News and gossip from Arsenal FC in the past 24 hours.

There are growing rumours that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could feature for the first-team against Norwich City this weekend. While nobody in their right mind is suggesting he could start the fixture there is talk that the 20-yar-old from Stevenage has informed Arsene Wenger that he feels fit enough to feature, after figuring in yesterdays behind-closed-doors friendly. He played 90 minutes but it is still unlikely that Wenger will risk his prized asset until he has done more to prove his fitness.

A recent survey has suggested that Arsenal are once again the most expensive team to follow in Britain. The cheapest season ticket at The Emirates is only £15 short of £1,000 and the most expensive adult tmatch day ticket at Arsenal is £126. While these figures may make bad reading Arsenal did of course win the award for ‘best club in Britain’ when it came to customer satisfaction so at least fans are getting bite for their buck.

More news is coming out from reputable sources that Arsenal want to add Adrian Lopez to the squad in January. It now appears however that he is held in such high esteem by Arsene Wenger that The Gunners would be willing to pay the full £14.6 million release clause currently in his contract at Atletico Madrid. He is the second Los Colchoneros player to be linked with a move to North London recently after apparent interest in Falcao in the past month.

Arsenal’s young Argentine stopper Damian Martinez has informed fans that despite the current goalkeeping injury crisis the clubs goalmouth is in safe hands. Not only does he believe Vito Mannone will continue to do an exceptional job in between the sticks he also feels if called upon he is more than up to the challenge of keeping sticks for Arsene Wenger’s men.

Elliot Bennett has warned Arsenal that the Canaries will ‘fight like dogs’ in their game on Saturday and despite Norwich City's  recent poor form he insists they will give it absolutely everything to avoid defeat to The Gunners despite most pundits predicting a comfortable Arsenal win.

Arsenal’s youngster Philip Roberts is in talks with SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle about potentially extending his loan deal north of the border. The 18-year-old has made an immediate impact at the club since his completing a loan deal in August and talks are resuming to see him stay at the Caledonian Stadium until January at the earliest.

Arsenal are reportedly chasing Ghanaian winger Andre Ayew. The Marseille forward could be the victim of the board who are ready to cash in on the 22-year-old and Loic Remy in order to balance their books. Ayew has previously been linked with a move to Reading.

There has also been interest in a player dubbed ‘the next Riquelme’. Leandro Paredes is an 18-year-old attacking playmaker at Boca Juniors and Arsenal are reported to be chasing him along with Italian giants AC Milan.
