Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger believes that a breakaway black players union would be a bad decision. The Frenchman believes that communication needs to happen fast in relation to the recent boycott of the Kick It Out racism shirts. He feels that players of all races and cultures must stick together to fight racism or xenophobia of any kind and believes division is not the answer. Aaron Ramsey has also reiterated his manager’s sentiment when it comes to racism and believes if they all stick together then racism can be combatted.
Arsene Wenger has also been asked to defend himself after the Arsenal side travelled to the weekend’s game with Norwich City by air. Green campaigners have labelled the decision to take the 15 minute flight as absurd.
