SPL round-up: David Robertson earns St Johnstone a point at Inverness

Andrew Shinnie missed a penalty for Inverness before Billy McKay opened the scoring in the 74th minute, but the hosts were denied a fourth straight victory in the Scottish Premier League when substitute David Robertson headed home in the second minute of stoppage time. It meant the Perth club maintained their seven-match unbeaten run in the league. "I'm delighted with the result because we didn't play well," said Lomas.

Goals in each half from Niall McGinn and a Jim McAlister own goal helped Aberdeen to a comfortable 2-0 win over Dundee at Pittodrie. The result increased their unbeaten run in all competitions to 12 games and ensured the Dons moved up to third place.

Aberdeen started brightly and took the lead after 14 minutes.

Ryan Fraser was the beneficiary of a poor clearance from visiting goalkeeper Rab Douglas. He easily shrugged off Matthew Lockwood before sending in a low cross from the right, which Stephen Hughes stepped over and McGinn lashed into the net via the underside of the bar to score for the fifth successive game.

They finally made it 2-0 when, after 74 minutes, substitute Hayes scuffed a low left-footed free-kick in from the right, off Jim McAlister and into the net.

John Sutton struck a late equaliser as Hearts scraped a 2-2 draw with Ross County at Tynecastle. County appeared set for a second win over an Edinburgh club in the space of a week following Stuart Kettlewell's 77th-minute strike, but substitute Sutton hit back in the third minute of stoppage time.

Arvydas Novikovas's opener for the home side five minutes before half-time had been cancelled out by a disputed Richard Brittain penalty. Kettlewell's strike, along with Michael Fraser's heroics in the County goal, appeared set to seal the points for the visitors before Sutton's late leveller.

Johnny Russell grabbed the only goal of the game with a penalty as Dundee United scraped a narrow 1-0 victory at St Mirren with victory meaning the two teams swap places as the hosts dropped to second from bottom. The breakthrough came with a little over 20 minutes remaining when Steven Thompson was adjudged to have handled a Gavin Gunning header in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Russell stepped up to send a low strike into the back of the net, with Craig Samson getting a hand to the ball but unable to prevent the shot from crossing the line.
