It was reported late last night that Newcastle United have clinched a deal to sign a new midfielder; Moussa Sissoko.
The Sun claim that the club have tied up a deal for the player, who will become a free agent next summer and can officially sign a pre-contract agreement from January.
So who is he and what can we tell you about him? Here are five facts...
1) Sissoko is 23 and plays for Toulouse in Ligue One, the club he has been with for his entire professional career to date.
2) He is a French international with five caps to his name, and has represented his country at every youth level.
3) Sissoko is a central midfielder, who was at one stage valued at 30 million Euros by his club. Tottenham had a £15 million bid rejected for him in 2009.
4) He has already played in England, in an away Champions League qualifying game for Toulouse against Liverpool, and for France's under-21 side against England.
5) Sissoko has 24 professional career goals to his name to date, and 15 assists. This season he has scored one goal so far.
