Full of classic songs, a good-looking cast, great dancing, and high energy, Dreamboats and Petticoats will keep you tapping your toes throughout the show.
The story is a very simple one. It is 1961 and two young men compete to win a song competition, and they also compete to win the attention of the very beautiful Sue (played by the gorgeous and very talented Susannah Allman). The young men, Bobby (a very adorable David Ribi) and Norman (playing a version of John Travolta in Grease), dance and sing their way through the show. However, Bobby is unaware of the lovely young talented songwriter Laura (Samantha Dorrance, who is perfect for this role), who has a major crush on him and wants to compose a song with him (and perhaps more). Such song classics as Runaround Sue, Bobby's Girl, Let's Twist Again, To Know Him is to Love Him makes this show a feel-good musical.
With great 1960s costumes, a set that fits the era, and a very talented cast, Dreamboats and Petticoats is one sure-fire fun night at the theatre. I guarantee that when you leave you'll be humming its songs and tapping your toe all night long.
