Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will not be joining Manchester City according to City boss Roberto Mancini. Mancini has confirmed recent reports linking them with a move for the Liverpool front man are not true and are the subject of media fabrication. He says City don’t need the striker.
Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling are set to start the match against Wigan Athletic this weekend having both started for England against Sweden during the week. Glen Johnson is also expected to start at right back with Daniel Agger playing with a slight knock in the centre of defence.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has suggested Liverpool would have been better off appointing current West Brom boss Steve Clarke as their new manager ahead of Brendan Rodgers. Clarke snapped up the West Brom position which is his first official coaching role as the boss of a Premier League side.
