'Arsenal are the best side we have faced this season, I have only good things to say about them.'
Who said the above?
Well it wasn't Andre Villas-Boas, who said his side controlled the game in their 5-2 defeat (Answers on a postcard), and it wasn't Nigel Adkins, who saw his Southampton team battered 6-1 at the Emirates.
Anybody watching Match of the Day on Saturday night, would have heard the above statement from none other than Manchester City captain turned pundit, Vincent Kompany.
It's quite a compliment from 2011/12's Barclays Premier League Player of the Season, when you consider City have lined up against Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund this year. Whether he meant in the division or as a whole was ambiguous.
Arsenal of course went to the Etihad earlier in the season and claimed a creditable 1-1 draw thanks to a late Laurent Koscielny equaliser.
City, still unbeaten in the league, are still to face rivals United, and Chelsea - if you discount the Community Shield - but even so, Arsenal fans should be happy with his comments, especially as City faced Spurs a week ago.
Arsenal will hope their win can inspire them to go on a winning run, similar to their 5-2 victory over Spurs last season. Their upcoming fixtures in the league are against Aston Villa, Everton, Swansea and West Brom.
If they can win those four, which is of course a huge ask considering Everton and West Brom's form, then maybe, just maybe, they will start to catch up with the top three.
One game at a time of course, beginning with Montpellier tomorrow night in the Champions League at the Emirates, a must-win.
Another must-win will be their home game against Manchester City on January 13. There will be certain City players like Gael Clichy and particularly Samir Nasri who will be heavily booed due to the way they walked out on Arsenal.
However after his classy comments about the Gunners on Saturday night, Vincent Kompany might just be the odd man out, who gets a round of applause instead.
What next for Arsenal? Can they go on a winning run?
