Arsene Wenger does not believe he is gambling on Theo Walcott’s contract situation. It is believed however he has made it clear to the board that they must do everything in their power to keep hold of the forward. With Manchester City, Juventus, Chelsea and Liverpool all reportedly interested in agreeing a pre-contract with the 23-year-old it is believed a compromise may be met on wages in order to keep him at The Emirates after his impressive recent form.
Theo Walcott will miss tomorrows Champions League fixture with Montpellier with a shoulder injury he picked up in the North London derby. Despite playing on after the incident on Saturday he will not be risked for the game with the Ligue 1 champions. Meanwhile Arsenal have been boosted by the news that Gervinho and Kieran Gibbs will be returning to the team after their respective injury lay-offs.

Injury prone midfielder Tomas Rosicky may be on his way out of Arsenal in January. The Czech international is reportedly being courted by Serie A outfit AS Roma who are readying a £5 million bid for the creative midfielder. He has struggled with severe injury problems since his move to London from Borussia Dortmund and has therefore had little opportunity to showcase his brilliant potential.
The latest goalkeeper being linked with a move to The Emirates is Ajax stopper Kenneth Vermeer. According to reports in Holland Arsenal sent scouts to view him in action against Manchester City in the Champions League two weeks ago and were impressed with what they saw. He would be available for around £4 million.
Arsenal are reportedly ready to stump up over £20 million for SC Braga striker Eder. Reports in Portugal suggest the striker, who has six goals in 12 appearances this season, although the reports suggest they will have competition from Liverpool for the burly forward.
