Liverpool were denied a Jose Enrique goal when a linesman judged the Spaniard to have scored from an offside position. Replays showed that the decision was marginally correct but could have gone either way.
Brendan Rodgers says the 0-0 draw against Swansea City over the weekend shows the club is progressing. Liverpool endured a torrid start to the season and managed a point as Rodgers returned to his old club. He says it shows progress to go with improving form at Anfield.

Suarez’s future has been the subject of much speculation in the last two weeks with Manchester City also reportedly interested in signing the Liverpool front man. Rafa Benitez is thought to be a keen admirer of the star of the club he used to manage.
Liverpool defender John Flanagan has called for more support to Luis Suarez, stating that the club can’t keep relying on the striker. Suarez is the only high profile and recognised striker at the club as Fabio Borini continues his recovery from a broken foot injury.
Liverpool have been put on high alert by the admission of Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente, that he wants to leave the club. Llorente’s contract is due to expire in the summer and Liverpool could be primed to make a bid for him this January with the limited funds at their disposal.
Liverpool could be on the verge of a loan deal for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent in January. Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the club don’t have a huge pot of money to spend on players and a loan move for the out of favour Bent could work very well for the club.
Liverpool midfielder Stewart Downing could be on his way to Arsenal in a £10 million deal. Downing made a rare start for the club at the weekend against Swansea City and reports have started to emerge that Arsene Wenger could offer him a role in the team at the North London club.
